Crondall Open Gardens 2025 was held on Sunday the 8th of June 2025. The weather was glorious and the 16 gardens that were open to the public enjoyed record attendances with some gardens recording over 900 visitors.
This years event was supporting the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice and staff from the charity were out in force on the day helping at the Village Hall, where there was Helen Bakers Charity plant stand , ice cream van, refreshments and in attendance Izzie Balmer doing valuations on items that folk brought along.
The Charity Plant Stand run by Helen and her volunteers raised a staggering £3000 plus for the Hospice.
There was an exhibition of Classic Cars held at the Phantom Motors site in Pankridge Street which proved very popular.
The day officially started at 2:00 pm but folk were arriving well before that and the day had a real buzz with what we believe were record attendances, and a record amount raised for charity in excess of £15,000.
The gardens on offer varied from Hedgehogs House with a play area for kids and food and drink on offer to the magical garden of Helen Dyne in Pankridge Street. Then to the more formal gardens in Dippenhall Street, and French Treasures for sale in a Church Street garden.
This is from our Leader Amy Webb:
"We’re delighted to announce that this year’s Crondall Open Gardens raised an incredible £15,717 in aid of Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care.
A special thank you goes to CharityPlants, who raised an outstanding £3,189 — a fantastic contribution!
We’d also like to extend our thanks to: The Croft Cafe team, Oak Park Clinic, Polly’s Ice Cream, McCarthy Holden, our generous sponsors, and the amazing garden owners who sold homewares and refreshments.
Thank you to all the visitors who supported this event. Your generosity and community spirit have made a real difference."
